Chlorophytum bharuchae is a rare herb in Sahyadri ranges. Grows 30-60 cm in height. Leaves are radical, linear, leathery, grow in a rosy style at the base and near floor. Roots are tuberous and white in colour. Leaf like growth is seen on inflorescence stalk (peduncle), they are 1-2 cm long. Flowers arranged around the axis in raceme type of inflorescence. Each flower is around 1-2 cm across, bell shaped when not completely open, pedicel 4-5 mm with yellow colour; five petals are white in colour, petals free, yellowish brown coloured spot at the tip of each petal. Androecium six, long and exerted, filament 1-2 cm, anther dorsifixed and dark yellow (turmeric)
colour. Gynoecium one at the centre and long
like androecium. Ovary three locular. Fruit is capsule with three clearly visible
